I must admit I’ve always wanted to try an ESS, especially for filming.

I impulse bought it a while ago and forgot I had it until I saw it sitting on my bench earlier today and decided to use it.

It’s pretty realistic sounding and the stock engine sound suits the truck perfectly but the horn is a bit weedy sounding but hopefully a wee browse through the different programing options available on the pc software will turn up something a bit more suitable for a battered old redneck style hunting truck (fingers crossed for a dixie horn 🤣)

I try a new method to setup the bunch of cables in my D90 and use reclosable fasteners.

    Before

    665A22A7-2040-41B9-AF4E-99844E136A5E

    After

    EF28A160-4C95-4DBD-B1A1-71699613551240025BA0-2652-4D67-AC29-9EBFF8467352

I like it. Its not faster or slower than the hotglue-method but looks a bit better, I think 🙂

    Regards

    Ralf

Nice. Is it complicated to apply?

    Apropos complicated:

    A new movable (up/down + left/right) workinglight on the D90

    Cheers mate.

It’s actually pretty straightforward as long as you take your time and work out any air bubbles as you go. The trickiest part was the hood because it comes in three separate sections. If I was to do it again then I’d start by applying the front bit (grill and headlights) the big panel and finally the mesh bit in the middle.

I doubt I’ll be ordering another one tho not because of the quality but because I got stung for almost 20 quid by hmrc for having the audacity to buy something from a non EU country.

    Thanks.

20 quid? Wow. That‘s much money for a bunch of stickers.

Customs are very unpopular too in german rc circles 🙂

I‘ve sacrifice an old Ball-Bearing and some shaftsteel and bearingbronce from my cars to build a little christmas present for my wife.

I’ve mounted up some Pro-Line TSL SX Super Swampers for my  Toyzuki HiLux, superb multi terrain tyre.
