I regret not going, especially at Eurostar isn’t that expensive. Maybe next year if the dates work out with birthdays in May.

What a fantastic in formative and accurate write up on what was for myself and my friend an absolutely awesome weekend, I have only just recently crossed over from many years in the world of nitro racing and into the world of scale crawlers, having just spent £800 buying and building a crawler from a new trx sport kit my first proper event was the Recon G6 a few weeks ago and how disappointed I was, that was a weekend of ridiculous unscaled obstacles mostly rocks that you could hardly walk over, total abuse resulting in lots of damage, I soon learnt to only do what was safe, you live and learn !

Anyhow with that experience behind me next on the agenda was a weekend in Germany attending “Superscale 2019” we decided to drive, so Le Shuttle booked, accommodation booked, weekend tickets booked, 11 hour drive and hey presto we arrived late Friday afternoon, so after checking into our rented apartment we thought we’d do the 10 minute drive to have a look round the venue, although not officially open and all tracks closed we had a good idea what to expect on Saturday,  excitement filled the air.

The next two days was just pure joy, so much so we’ve already booked the same accommodation for next year, this event is excellent in every way possible and after having a nice long chat with one of the event helpers next year is set to be even better, if you’re ever thinking of going to a scale crawler event then I suggest you do “Superscale 2020” I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Blimey I had so much I’ve posted it twice haha,

Apparently the Recon G6 taking place in Belgium later in the year comes highly recommended, so we’ll give that one a go too. until then it’s crawling locally and more scale building.

Thanks for the update Joe and for the great pictures.  It sounds like you had a blast!  Between you and Forth Protocol I would imagine we could put together some very helpful information for those forum members who may want to make the trip next year.
