So despite the summer heat,  sales of ice creams are not keeping me in styrene so the ice cream truck has been sold off for a life of low riding.

Instagram is again the inspiration for another oddball build.

I haven’t a clue what it is. It might be Ford based going by the front tag. A few suggestions on Instagram have been made that it might be an aircraft tug or luggage carrier.

Its odd and unique and I’ve been itching to build it so lets see where this goes.

Platform for this is my trusty RC4WD G2

    Simple floor made

Then the start of the sides.

And the lower hull as it seems like a boat done.

    More soon.

Ugly but nice. Looks a bit like any ‚toy-story‘-car.

I like your faible for unusual builds.

It reminds me of Mater from Cars, quite the little personality! Def looks like an airport truck of some kind.

Looking good, no worries with finding space for an interior!!

I’m thinking this is one of those trucks they use to pull planes about?  It should certainly how a low COG 😉

Thanks, I must watch that film. I like ugly things.

The more I look at it now the more it screams Disney, which sucks a little.

Interior is tiny but acres of room for batteries and junk.

I’ve spent ages trolling Google but haven’t found anything like it but it’ll pull a suitable build when I can get my head round how to it.

Yay another quirky build from Mark 🙂

I think it might be an early version of this type of thing, doesn’t look solid/heavy enough to be an aircraft tug to me. Well not for commercial aircraft.

Found it (I think) Chevrolet Lumberjack  or Dekalb Lumberjack as they seem to be the coachbuilders that made them.

Wow, thanks for finding it. Had a Google and it looks like I’ll be adding logs to my build.

I can’t seem to add pics tonight so I’ll try again tomorrow.

Your welcome, It had been bugging me as to what it would have been built for and I had this nagging thought in the back of my mind that I had seen one on a documentary about logging. After a fair amount of googling I found the above picture and proved myself right 🙂
