I couldn’t resist ordering the new Blazer hard body from RC4WD. Now before it arrives, I need to decide on old and weathered or sparkly new. I tend to fall back on the former as it masks my mistakes and I’ve yet to complete a built with a final clear coat.

Yes it’s a hard body, 11.3″ WB fits on the TF2 chassis.

I’m glad you said that as I’ve just remembered my TF2 chassis is already rusted up from a previous build ;-)

No me either, spotted it last night just before bed and couldn’t decide whether to order or not. This morning I accidentally ordered it lol.

Looks good does that, nice to see an operational bonnet finally and rear window and tailboard.
Interesting it’s a one piece design over the Yotas two piece.

I know, it’s just interesting they’ve paid that attention to detail.
I wonder who’s going to be the first to chop and exo one of these Blazers!

Damn, damn, damn… why did you have to put that up on here!! :woohoo:

You know what Im gonna have to look into buying now for my Ascender.. 👿

Im gonna vote for the clean look myself, let it weather naturally.. I would be tempted to say its gotta have the side stripe irrespective of colour though I always like the more outlandish colours on motors of that period.. big and brash.. a totally look at me American attitude for then..

Hehe, I’m sorry. I have to say I particularly like that cream and red colour scheme. I might go for that, if it all goes wrong I’ll claim it was intentional and go for rust and weathering.

I’m just wondering how on earth one would go about doing the chrome trim around the side stripe.

Some super thin evergreen styrene and then chrome foil. I made a new back for a hilux and it just bent nicely.
