Performance Issues

Is anyone experiencing performance issues with the forum, slow loading, unresponsive etc? I have done on a couple of occasions and then it seems to sort itself out.

Originally forum was very slow for me.

Seems to have speeded up a fair bit now, but can take a while to load.

When I first sign in & after reading a post a bit slow on back button.

Obviously though improving as the forum evolves.

Sometimes it seems really speedy for me and then other times it seems to get stuck, I shall keep looking into it.

Sometimes doesn’t load for me, and often quite slow.

Not sure if device/browser will make any difference, but I am on a PC using Chrome and also tried Firefox too.

Ok chaps, I’ll keep any eye on it, if problems seem to persist or return (it seems to be OK again for me know) report them here and I’ll look at server upgrade options.

Hi, can you all let me know what your experiences are with using the forum from a performance perspective?  I keep getting intermittent periods where it’s really slow and occasionally server errors.  It may just be because I’m logged in as admin, however if you’re all experiencing these problems I may look at an alternative host.

I have seen a couple forum errors, 404’s I think. Also some slow periods but nothing to serious.

Thanks for the feedback chaps, I’ve logged in this morning and it’s flying along again.  I’m looking into some other hosts and will migrate the forum to a new home if over the next couple of weeks I continue to experience problems.

It’s always been fairly slow for me compared to other sites, same from home or work so not a computer issue. The initial page loading can take ages sometimes. Not a huge problem though.

I have signed up with a new hosting service, when I get enough time I am going to transfer the forum over.  There may be a little bit of downtime, I’ll let you know exactly when I plan to make the move.  I think it will be worth it, I’m getting a little irritated with how slow the site is sometimes.
