Not a proper build thread. Someone’s done the hard work.
At May’s Recon G6 I spotted this old scout in the back of an old Peugeot. 2E25B857-905E-467E-BDA2-7A2A980BC7C9F5EA57E5-91CA-4A37-86B5-59C355380F2D

It belonged to a fellow forum member and Vanquish fanboy. It was built in the US. At the time he wanted way too much. It had a certain look to it but it wasn’t to be.
Octobers Nationals come round and I asked if it was still available, it was but wasn’t with him.
Just before Christmas it popped up on eBay. A deal was done and it’s now in my collection.
It’s an old Axial SCX10 frame with some pretty decent metal work. Integrated shock hoops a wraith interior and the old Proline CGR Scout body.</p>
A set of scx10 axles and gearbox fitted. Going for droop setup as it worked well for my old Jeep YJ.
I’ve stuck some Pitbull Rock Beasts on and hopefully it’ll make a great comp rig.
Lots of sun today so I made the trek to the rocks.B9EADC1F-5FFC-4E6E-AD77-AABEE79EB1A208FE6A80-3F72-4C5A-BFE5-7AC5779E2E1CE23152F7-4870-47D0-ABF2-D3E5648D8C471A3AF9D8-1EAF-44B0-9380-9E751BE80235

Looks mean, bet it crawls like a demon.  When you refer to a droop set up what’s your take on it, everyone seems to have a different view?

Thanks, it was just poser shots due to time.
All I do is take the springs off. It worked well for the jeep. Having weight in the wheels helps with keeping it planted.  Tuning shocks with different fluids is above my pay grade.
