Got to love a Hasbro Jeep. I had one then sold it before converting it and instantly regretted it.

As luck would have it a friend had been building one and decided that he’d gone far enough.

At the G6 his price was high so I bought another truck. Then he approached me and we worked out a new price.

Plans include a paint job to make it look less toy like and some scale junk.

Love these conversions.  I haven’t used mine in ages, I look forward to seeing where you take yours.

I knew you would end up with this :).

It’s a cracking rig and converted really nicely if I remember correctly.

Thanks, I don’t think there’s many colour choices that’ll work on these but hopefully it’ll look ok.

I was surprised how well they did it. The cage isn’t my cup of tea and horrendously expensive.  There’s still a jeep out there I need to own 😉

My hobby funds are low after this and your Chevy.

I really need to get cracking on this, I had every intention of stripping it down for paint today as the weather’s nice but the kid needs the emergency dentist so it was a fail.
Pete kindly sent me a jerrycan and steering wheel 87D7AC9B-D909-471B-8F45-51A9E0546E46

It’s a wormhole, it costs a bomb to build and then loads more on clothes and accessories.

I didn’t know who he was, I’m sure it’s transformers.

I’ve finally done something with this massive paperweight.

The stock plastic colour is way to toy like. Not sure why the previous owner put it back together without any paint.

    FF3CA1E7-05A6-4068-8CB9-F5CD4A2FBE84

I got it stripped which was no easy task. Originally I was going the red primer route but that didn’t last long.

I then found a can that’s painted the postal Jeep a 2 door Jeep and now this.

I’ve found a spare set of Tf2 rails and some metal stock so next up should be the other big Willy’s

Still finding time for this one. Got the chassis painted.

    4AF07309-D8A2-4895-AFD3-FA05312FE2BE

No nut and bolt restoration for this, some original green and red primer remain here and there.

    Painted up the seat frames.

Then I gave the 3d printed Steering wheel that Pete kindly sent me some paint.

    FA3DC8AA-07DA-4B3E-A792-51CCE84B9DB0

I purposely left the steering column I red primer for contrast.

Lastly for today I sorted the hood hinges. It came with some from the Rc4wd Blazer which were bolted to the outside. As shopping is difficult rather than replacing them with piano hinges I reversed them so they’re not so visible and used scale hardware.

    Looking good, excellent colour choice.

    Thanks.

I’ve made a licence plate before and figured I’d do it again with this and save a fiver doing it.

I used a piece of scrap metal and printed a plate onto paper.

    A854C78E-906E-4903-8D1C-2013E2C43265

Broke out the gorilla glue and stuck it down. My fingers survived this step for a change.

    8B1F9E37-37D8-4A72-95D2-A50A283AF5DB

It’s not super glossy but it’ll do as the Yanks don’t have to have reflective plates like us.

Four little holes drilled and I added some Rc4wd scale bolts

    EAD3EFD4-CB00-4898-A1D7-6800223A06C3

As it’s metal it might rust and dent as time goes on.

    More soon.

Today the sun was out but not as much as I’d hoped.

Its pretty much done aside from a few details and junk.

The steering sucks and I’ll figure it out. A few pics at my happy place.

I forgot the Jerry can in my rush to get going today.
