That’s come out fantastic. It’ll be interesting to see how the bed holds up as the stuff the Czech use for materials is a bit like the stuff they make Blackpool stick of rocks from.

Crikey that must turn on a sixpence! I was a tad confused as I must have missed when this turned from a Blazer to a Hilux. Looks like a proper comp machine. Random Pepsi sticker.. Looking for freebies? 😀

It certainly does turn well, saved me a load of reverses at the last meet.  The Pepsi stickers is a hangover from a previous build, I just know it won’t come off without leaving a sticky gooey mess.

Cheers, the bed material certainly makes an interesting squeaking noise when you screw into it.

    Charlie,

I’ve sent you a pm with a few questions about your build when you get a few minutes.

    Any updates?

Neil here are some pictures showing how I mounted the body and some of the transfer case.

I also reversed the hex mounts on the 1.7 steelies to increase the offset as per Pete’s recommendation and it worked nicely.

Thank you, that helps a lot. Were the 4 holes already in the chassis that you used for the rc4wd body mounts, or did you have to drill them?

Helpfully, they were already there 🙂

I decided to try out the relatively new detailed interior from RC4WD for this build.  I painted it in some suitably depressing late 70’s browns.  I also tried to fade and weather it up a bit.

I haven’t added all the fiddly dangly bits yet and as I need to try to get my driver in and I know I’ll snap them off in the process.  For the same reason I haven’t as yet done anything with the footwells as I have a feeling I may need to cut them out to accomodate said driver’s legs.

Cheers, they’re not a bad price either considering the level of details, certainly in comparison to the CCHand one.

Your result is perfect, I think.

    Chapeau!

What a shame, that such Details are seldom noticed by others at a trail.

    Regards

    Ralf
