Looking good … I’m glad I’m not the only one that uses bags for masking ::thumb::

Thanks. Glad I did it. It never jumped out as an eyesore, but knowing how bad it looked when you looked closely I’m glad I did it. There are lots of really badly done bits on this truck that I wouldn’t do now. Amazing how after just a year you almost want to distance yourself from shamefully shoddy work. I’ve learnt a bit since then.

Started in July last year, and took about 6 months of my spare time.

Waiting for some decent weather to get some video. I’ll post that up when it happens.

Yeah it’s done :-) And already back on the River Raider – time to get that one done too ::cool

Thanks ::thumb:: The plan was to do lights, but the plan has changed. Mostly because the effort and expense was deemed excessive for a truck that won’t see much driving. I might get bored one day and do it, but I think it’s a lot more likely that I rip the KMS winch out and reuse it on a rig that’s run more often.

Moved to a more appropriate location, as after all it’s a fine example of a first styrene build. ::thumb::

Thanks :-) But my first scratch build looks like what it is – a first attempt. .75mm styrene for external body panels is a good idea said nobody, ever. If there’s any interest I’ll happily do a bloopers post. There are some hard-learned lessons in this.

    :-) However…

Have a brother in law + family over from Paris this weekend, so didn’t do much to the River Raider (tinkering with a hinge up front to make battery access easier), but did manage a sleeping bag for the Bronco. Made from my 1st Krav Maga training shirt, so should be robust enough to withstand moths and keep the dust off the truck.

Man it feels good to have finished this build. There are some things I want to toy with, like the Big Oly wing and net doors, but I can do that now knowing there’s nothing else I need to do to call it done!
