Hi all this is my D90 project based on an Axial scx10.

    Bits so far…

    Dingo builders kit,
Alturn AA750MG High torque race servo,
    Peter’s D90 hardbody and snorkel,
Peter’s D90 plastic wheels (for now),
    Copy tyres from ebay,
    Micro d SHACKLES,
    m4 threaded rod,
    6mm alloy tube,
    Traxxas revo ball ends,
    Assorted Paint.

Still lots to get but will get there. This is my first scale build and first project thread so any comments/tips welcome :)

It’s going to be 4 linked front and rear with custom links. (Hopefully my ball ends will be here tomorrow so i can start on them)

So far as you can see in the pics i have done both axles, shocks and tranny. Marine grease was used as i want this rig waterproof B)

Your going to enjoy this build. Any ideas yet on color/style etc?

One thought, you might not be interested, but these things IMHO are in the flesh the most scale of the cars. Mounting the steering servo to the chassis as opposed to the axle will really help that final look. It’s an extra expense, but actually am sure I’ve seen it done using the stock servo bracket bolted to the chassis.

Perhaps someone knows of a build with this done.

Anyway keep the pics a coming! B)

Yep. Colour wise it’s going Landrover willow green with a white roof, white wheels and flat black arches.

I was looking at mounting it on the chassis but it works best on the axle. If I don’t like the look once it’s together I’ll consider moving it.

My build won’t be as fast as yours but there will be plenty of pics :)

I’ll also be making my own front and rear bumpers. Prob some rock sliders to. All from steel. I will need some measurements of a 3 racing winch so I’ve got room for one on my bumper. ;)

Just read you parts list and it’s exactly what i’ve ordered, even down to the colour! Hopefully mine should be waiting back at home waiting for me when I get back from holiday :)
