Well have been umming and Arring what with all you guys either pulling your main rig or your main rig pulling a second car. My car doesn’t look like an event truck like a truggy, and what could it pull?, my short course is more like an 1/8th car.

So I’m doing a trailer to carry more odd’s and sod’s. Its going to be a hilux rear bed to match the car. Leaf sprung, same wheels as the car.

So far I’ve got wheels, leafs, and my bed is winging its way from Dale as I type.

    Hopefully a mock up tomorrow.

if its any use i have a brass bed to make a trailer up £10+Posting if it helps.
I think it may be one of dales old ones?
full brass so handles well when off road.
Edged and bent to form a short ramp at the tail end.
    Sprayed black would look great

Cant wait to see pics….I have made two trailers a twin axle custom built with lights ramps and suspension and pulls great behind my hard shell 90.
Just finished putting strob lights that switch on when going full chat.
cost a fortune but really does look nice.

the other is a sankey looking made of mdf with flip lid for carrying bits looks the parts but not sure how it will cope with mud and water even though well painted.

It’s a Bever tail I made for the 6×6 but gave up as it got a bit heavy and the rig sat down on its bump stops. Probably worth more than £10 in scrap as its solid brass.

So how were you thinking of making your trailer?

This is my twin axles made from scratch – it might give you some ideas?

Well I’m going to have a Hilux rear bed as the trailer, so trying to make it look as much as possible like 1/2 a Hilux. It won’t take a car, too small, too high, but would be for you know nic nacs.

Now I’ve been searching regardless of this build off for 1/10 rc car trailers, like yours and Carl’s, Damo’s etc and today this chap has appeared on eBay selling wooden handmade car transporter trailers which look very nice. Am gonna pm him about this forum I think, he may become rich.

Cheers mate, i have also done a sankey type in wood but not yet taken piccys.
I have loads of stuff like this built part built but just not one for takign photos.
This trailer now has a work box, fire extinguisher and strobe lights on top with full working lights on the rear.
Only light missing is the number plate!
it looks really good behind the Hard shell 90 which also has the same boost alloys.

Bill they do look nice not sure how long they will last with hot glue but for the price thats good.
this alloy and brass one has cost me well over £120 in materials allone!
the wheels were a small fortune as well.
but the over all apperance looks great, its even got red disc brakes.
the suspension works well and it carries a load very easily.
